Quick Research Tip: MyHein and the New SmartCILP Service

by Julie Tedjeske on 2020-08-28T14:32:00-04:00 | Comments

MyHein is an individual account that you need to set up in order to use some of the advanced features on HeinOnline. If you have a MyHein Account, you can save bookmarked articles and set up eTOC alerts. eTOC alerts provide an electronic copy of the table of contents, including hypertext links to individual articles, any time a new issue of a particular journal comes out.

Your MyHein account will also enable you to use the new SmartCILP service. SmartCILP has been around for years, but it was recently integrated into HeinOnline. "CILP" stands for Current Index of Legal Publications. SmartCILP provides weekly email listings of all the articles that have been published in a selected area or selected areas. You are given links to the articles in HeinOnline, Lexis, and Westlaw.

Here is a complete list of over 100 CILP subject headings.

For faculty members, you can set up and manage your own profile, or we can do it for you. If you would like us to manage your profile, please contact your liaison librarian.
