Quick Research Tip: The Wolters Kluwer Treatise Collection on Fastcase

by Julie Tedjeske on 2020-09-07T23:26:00-04:00 in Specialized Legal Research | Comments

Fastcase is a low-cost alternative to databases such as Westlaw or Lexis. Many practitioners have access to Fastcase as a benefit of their state or local bar membership. Here in Allegheny County, small firm members of the Allegheny County Law Library have access to Fastcase.

As a law student, you have access to Fastcase. As part of your access to Fastcase, you can use a terrific collection of treatises from legal publisher Wolters Kluwer. A treatise is simply a book devoted to a particular topic. Most of these treatises are not available elsewhere in the library's collection, either in print or online.

Available subject libraries include the following:

Bankruptcy Law

Employment Law

Licensing Agreements

Business Practice Law Estate Planning Law Limited Liability Corporations
Business Torts Law Evidence Law Personal Injury Law
Construction Law General Litigation Library Products Liability Law
Consumer Finance Law  Insurance Law Library Real Estate law
Drunk Driving Defense Intellectual Property Law Library Remedies
Elder Law  Internet Law and E-Commerce Library Section 1983

Employment Discrimination Law

Law Practice Resources
