E-Journal Finder

The E-Journal Finder allows you to quickly figure out if you have access to one or more electronic versions of a particular journal. The scope of coverage for the E-Journal Finder includes (1) many Gumberg Library research databases and (2) HeinOnline. HeinOnline is a legal research database that includes full-text coverage of over 2800 law reviews and law-related periodicals.

A link to the E-Journal Finder is located under the Library Catalog heading on the Duquesne Kline Law Library's website.

If a law review or journal has an entry in the E-Journal Finder, it will tell you whether we have full-text or just indexing information for the journal as well as the range of years of the coverage. From there, you should be able to figure out if we have the volume and issue where your article appears. Simply drill down on the E-Journal Finder information screens to get to a copy of the article.

One tip about searching the E-Journal Finder is that it includes coverage of newspapers as well as journals. So if you wanted to find an article from the Washington Post or Post-Gazette, you might try a search of the E-Journal Finder.

Please realize that the E-Journal Finder does not provide comprehensive coverage of all of the Duquesne Kline Law Library's resources. Specifically, it does not include coverage of law reviews and journals that are included in Westlaw or Lexis. For information on whether a particular law review or journal is included in Westlaw or Lexis, you could either search the library catalog or search Westlaw or Lexis directly.
